Congratulations on finding the About page — what a truly momentous day!

Adventures with Dennis began as a simple way to stay in touch with family and friends back when I studied abroad in Paris. Now, it’s an amazing way to reflect on past experiences and appreciate all the excitement in the world.

In the process, I’ve learned one of my favorite lessons — the best stories come from near-disasters that we survived and can laugh about afterward. For me, these include when I was pickpocketed at 5 am on a Berlin subway, got extorted by a bus driver on a trip from London to Paris, and that one time I almost lost someone in the desert of Joshua Tree National Park.
